AZTEC is currently seeking resumes from qualified, responsible, self-sufficient, Utility Locators in Phoenix, AZ. The role is responsible for performing field labor and minor maintenance tasks.

Job Description:

Field labor tasks include performing vacuum excavation and utility destination tasks. These tasks include operating excavation equipment, documenting finds in the field, and various office tasks.

Primary Job Duties:

• Driving equipment trucks
• Operating vacuum excavation equipment and tools
• Filling out field forms and daily work logs
• Performing minor maintenance on tools and equipment

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• Entry-level position, one (1) year of Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is preferred
• Basic computer skills, which includes MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarized with electronic utility locating techniques and equipment
• Being able to pass a drug screening and background check
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
• Ability to travel to multiple worksites and occasional out-of-town travel
• Ability to lift 95 pounds
• Be able to handle certain construction equipment including a 95-pound pavement breaker
• Ability to walk two miles
• Ability to work outside for over six hours at a time
• Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier

Working Conditions and Environment:

Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
