**Description**

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is Parts Counter Sales Associates in Baltimore, Maryland. The Parts Counter Sales Associates are entry-level roles responsible for assisting customers via telephone, email, or walk-ins to identify and order parts. Additional responsibilities include effectively marketing parts and service sales, responding to all customer parts inquiries and properly processing parts orders. Were seeking candidates with a minimum of one-year experience in a customer-facing service role. Technical aptitude preferred; able to develop and maintain working knowledge of all Caterpillar products and other brands sold by Carter Machinery.

Requirements for the Parts Counter Sales Associate positions include:

* Self-starter able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.

* Must possess good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

* Exceptional customer satisfaction skills and the ability to build solid relationships.

* Must have excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.

* Computer skills are required, including Microsoft products and other applications; able to learn Caterpillars Dealer Business System (DBS) and related rental software programs.

* Able to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.

Physical requirements must be met for the Parts Counter Sales Associate jobs, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
