Our client, a leading packaging company, is currently seeking an accomplished Packaging Engineer to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Support the Account Director of the company customers in technical areas, such as packaging development, sustainability, retail approach, harmonization and supply chain optimization

2) Develop and deliver the technical input to account strategies

3) Develop, coordinate and implement innovative solutions to the technical requirements of customers in line with group capabilities

4) Identify, coordinate and implement cost-take-out and value-added initiatives in line with the account strategy

5) Ensure customer-focused support from other group resources

6) Oversee and coordinate all customer-related activities carried out by other company specialists

7) Minimize packaging material scrap, product scrap and product giveaway

8) Work with Packaging operations and suppliers to troubleshoot packaging issues, maintain packaging quality, and optimize packing line efficiencies.

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the packaging industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in packaging engineering

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
