JOB PURPOSE:

This person will receive, evaluate, and summarize cadaver organ donor information for transplant recipients from UNOS and local and surrounding OPOS. They will assist the physicians/surgeons in the allocation of available cadaver organs for transplant patients. This person will field organ offers for liver, kidney, pancreas and heart with lung being in the future. Available for primary call with some additional back up, special projects at the direction of administration as needed involving UNOS and or recipient data.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Four (4) years of nursing experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of critical care/procurement experience preferred.
