Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking candidates for a Marketing intern in the 2025 Summer Internship Program . This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. Responsibilities may include: - Designing and updating flyers, ads, and other miscellaneous items, including:
- Create visually appealing flyers, forms, posters, ads, and other promotional materials.
- Use design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce high-quality graphics.
- Ensure designs are in line with the organization's branding guidelines.
- Arrange text and images in a visually pleasing and organized manner.
- Format forms and documents for readability and user-friendliness.
- Edit and retouch images as needed for design projects.
- Brainstorm and collaborate with the team to come up with creative design concepts for various projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather project requirements.
- Organize and maintain digital files, ensuring easy access to design assets and resources.
- Archive completed projects for future reference.
- Ensure that designs are error-free before final production.
- Prepare design files for print, including setting up print specifications (bleeds, color profiles, etc.).
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback from managers and incorporate it into design revisions.
- Maintain design-related documentation and resources.
- Take advantage of the internship as a learning opportunity to improve design skills and gain practical experience.
- Ensure compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws when using external resources.
Qualifications: - Must be at least a sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or other closely related field with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
