This Contract role as a Hybrid Front End Developer in New York, New York will secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions and closely collaborate with Product Manager and QA engineers to deliver a high-quality product capabilities geared towards market success, and more (see below).

Responsibilities:

• Closely collaborate with Product Manager and QA engineers to deliver a high quality product capabilities geared towards market success
• Reviews code to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues and defects as well as identify solution problems and issues outside code.
• Develops designs for all aspects of a project
• Influences best practices development, contributing to process enhancements, and enforces best practices on project work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required. Please note equivalent combination of education and relevant proven work experience will be considered.
• Excellent working experience with JS frameworks (Vue, React), advance CSS, Web Based Technologies, web Components, Websocket technology.
• HTML5 using semantic mark-up and patterns for code reuse
• CSS with a solid understanding of modern techniques such as Responsive Web Design, Graceful Degradation and Object-Oriented Development, LESS/SASS
• Strong ES6 JavaScript skills with knowledge of developing large modular applications
• Experience in application architecture, W3C standards, accessibility and usability
• Experience in build products with integration dependency with backend systems owned by other teams
• Experience of building high performance API/services/applications
• Experience of building production grade java application and/or REST APIs
• Understanding of the consumption of RESTful web services via
• Working knowledge of CI/CD strategy in a cloud native environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience building products with microservice and/or microfrontend architecture
• Experience building automation strategy around UI products
• Experience coding in a story-driven, agile environment.
• Prior experience working in financial services/exchange/trading domain
• Prior experience working with BDD methodologies and automated acceptance criteria.
• Prior experience using Confluence, JIRA, or other Atlassian tools.
