About the Opportunity Covalent Health (comprised of ProTransport-1 Ambulance and PRN Ambulance) is seeking an EMS Coordinator to provide administrative support to both companies. This individual will perform a wide range of tasks and will work independently with little or no supervision. The EMS Coordinator must be organized, flexible, and able to critically think to support an office of diverse personnel and programs. The EMS Coordinator will work on site in an office setting with some travel to other stations and locations, as needed. A company car will be provided in the event of required travel.
Please note this is not an entry level opportunity Two years or more of experience in an administrative setting in a health care environment or equivalent education and experience is required.
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $30.00/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Answer a multiline phone system and provide guidance to the caller, transfer the call, or take a message.
- Sort and deliver incoming mail in a timely manner and send outgoing mail.
- Oversee the general upkeep of the premises, including the kitchen and common areas.
- Assist with researching and identifying medical supply cost trends.
- Ensure inventory updates and quarterly submissions are done timely.
- Monitor, distribute, and respond to incoming communication regarding procurement and licensure, when applicable.
- Maintain electronic organization of recordkeeping and licenses.
- Administer database to track progress and outcomes of company projects, audits, and licensure.
- Obtain necessary information and documentation to successfully complete tasks and projects.
- Assist in compiling data, documentation, and drafting project correspondence.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submissions.
- Assist with uploading required organizational documentation into customer credentialing system.
- Provide support in collecting procurement data and generating reports to identify areas of improvement.
- Provide assistance on company projects within allotted timeframes.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements - Two (2) or more years of administrative experience in a health care environment or equivalent education and experience (i.e. Associates or Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field)
- Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Proficient computer skills to include typing, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Administration, or a related field
- Prior EMS experience in a clinical or administrative role
