Indorama Ventures is currently looking to hire a Summer 2025 Computer Science Intern. Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited four-year college or university. The internships run from May to August - dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Indorama Intern Program is to provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career.
After initial orientation, intern will be assigned to Manufacturing Information Systems Management group, and under close supervision will provide technical support.
What will be expected of you? - After initial orientation, intern will be assigned to the Technology & Manufacturing Performance group to work with other team members. Intern will:
- Create or Assist in the creation of end-user tools such as web pages and .net applications that interface with various production databases.
- Develop SQL queries, reports and automated excel spreadsheets.
- Monitor and maintain system backups, software patches and server upgrades.
- Under management supervision, ensure that activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements).

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?- Full time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of Spring 2025 semester
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a BS in Computer Science, Lamar University highly preferred.
- 3.0 GPA or higher required
- Must be authorized to work in U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship for this position or in the future.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card. Please visit for information on TWIC.
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
- Knowledge of C# and Visual Basic programming as well as web development.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to build relationships across all organizational lines.
- Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to perform research and analysis.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be willing to commit to the summer program for the entire 10-week program.
