Job Description

We are seeking talented, self-motivated 2 Sr MAGENTO Developers with good front and back end development skills to work on multiple Magento ecommerce websites. You will be primarily responsible for setting up the Magento platform, customizing and extending the Magento platform to ensure the website is delivered to specification. There will also be some level of integration with 3rd party services to complete the functionality of the website.

We follow a fast-paced agile approach and expect all team members to work well independently and collaboratively. Individuals need to demonstrate good time management skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to perform to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Architecting the Magento store to meet project requirements
• Setting up a multi-currency Magento store
• Extending Magento by developing and integrating custom modules, extensions, and themes
• Developing web services and integrating 3rd party web services
• Migrating data (customers, orders, catalogue) into the new Magento platform
• Building and integrating basic front end pages using HTML/CSS/Javascript/JQuery
• Working with version control systems to maintain code
• Shipping working code, features, and modules every week

Work Experience & Skills:

Degree in the following discipline:

• Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related software development field
• 3+ years of PHP development and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• 3+ years of MAGENTO development experience with either Community or Enterprise Edition
• Experienced setting up new stores and multi-currency stores in Magento
• Experienced with Magento Module development
• Experienced with Magento Extension development
• Experienced with Magento Theme and Template Development
• Experienced with the following technology stack: CentOS, Ubuntu, Apache, Mod PHP, PHP-APC, Nginx, Memcache & MySQL
• Competent SQL developer using MySQL
• Competent with the Linux command line
• MVC design patterns/frameworks experience
• Experienced throughout the software development lifecycle including solution design, development, testing, and deployment
• Working in a continuous integration environment
• Experience writing testable code using unit tests
• Proficient with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery
• Proficient working with version control systems such as Subversion, Git or comparable tools
